Here is some more photos from the amazing Blekk Metal Event this year in Bergen, Norway. These are from one of my favourite shows, Gaahls Wyrd. More shots and alternative versions can bee seen on my photo blog HERE

Unholy Night

Using these holidays to post some stuff on these here old blogs. I guess it is about time and waaaaay overdue.
In November I was a part of a very special and historic black metal and tattoo event in Bergen, Norway... Blekk Metal. Go check out the site to see more about what you missed out on. And miss out you did if you weren't there. This was a once in a life time kinda thing!
Besides being there to tattoo I also brought my camera to capture a few of the bands playing there. Some of these photos have been posted on my photo blog and more will follow soon. Go HERE to see them.
Here is a couple of alternative versions of some of the shots.

Black Easter

It has been a while since easter already but better late than never right? So here is how I celebrated easter... Evil style!!

Our friends in Cancer Bats came to town and Stanley brought them here in his van. Stanley is an awesome guy and he is also the one who introduced us to the guys in Cancer Bats when he got us in at the Roskilde Festival 2 years ago. Needless to say, good times were had. New friendships were made and the rest is history. We have talked about doing a satanic bible on him for a long time so since there was a bit of spare time before the bats had to play we figured that now was the time! So done and done! One satanic bible of DOOM!
I took some pictures of the bats the night before when they played Odense. Check them out on my photoblog.

Max, our Russian comrade, came back to get a satanic crow. And that is what he got.
He brough presents from mother Russia. Good stuff...good stuff indeed.

The Russian gift basket incl. the flowered scarf.

In all this unholyness we had to get Martin in as well. The original plan was to start 2 new pieces on him but I decided to finish the chest piece of evilness instead and just start one piece the next day. Pictures of that next time.

One of the few painting that I actually did get done on my vacation was time little thing.

With all this black art comes a soundtrack as well. A lot of headphone time so I wouldn't drive Amalie crazy. I actually kinda like being in my own little world of headphones. Keeps me more focused. The problem is that it can be really antisocial at home. But it works.

Uncle Allans Black Easter playlist

To end this blog post of evil, here is a little video.

Hit The Lights

This last week has been busy but good and eventful. We had our German friend Eckel working with us. Great guy and I hope he will come back to us soon. He was one of these really easy guests who took care of himself and didn't need any big help or anything.
This week I also went to Metallica who were playing not one but five shows in Copenhagen. With them they had Lamb Of God and Mastodon who I was most excited about seeing. Unfortunately they were given the first spot of 25 minutes and with the smallest setup on stage and with the worst sound ever. I really hope they are coming back on a headliner tour soon! After that Lamb Of God played for about 50 min. It was like the sound guy were starting to wake up a bit but the sound still wasn't the best. Metallica played for 2 hours and if it hadn't been for Lars' lack of rythmic skills it would have been an awesome show...well that and the way to many new songs. But other than that it was fun! Laser, fire big floating coffins that held the many lamps that made a crazy lightshow. Good stuff.

This week was another international week. One day we had Denmark, Germany, Finland, Australia, The UK and Austria represented. Crazy. Well my new Finnish friend got a really nice Olympus camera tattooed. As a Photo geek I was very excited to do this.

Friday I tattooed Eric who works on and off in Helsingør. Great guy. It was a very relaxed day where we just hung out while I tried to do my design. Wehad planed the day so I only had him so we had time to hang out and not just tattoo him and rush him out the door. More good times.

Well a bunch of other things happened and it has been a fun but busy week but now it is vacation time!!! Hopefully this will mean a lot of drawing and painting and photographing.
Today I hope to get on with my Death Metal banner for London where Chiss D and I will share booth and make two banners that fits together. Hopefully this will also become skateboards, tshirts and prints but more about this later!

"...2 Shriners in go-carts...they're going down"

Last night I saw the scariest band in the world, DEADBOLT!! In a rain of sparks from the metal grinder (sorry I don't know the correct term for this kind of tool) followed by a mist of hairspray they started the show that hasn't changed a bit, and hopefully never will. Never have I seen a band smoke so many cigarettes on stage...they actually stopped a song to have a cigarette break!!
The air was filled with hairspray, smoke and flying cigarette buds. When ever the drummer (who played the entire show standing) were finished with his smoke he flicked it at Harley (the singer), who would return the favour after his next smoke. Shots were had and poison from a very dangerous rubber snake was flushed down like soda...crazy I tell you!! Kids... Don't try this at home!!
One of my favourite parts was when a bunch of crusty looking hippy types were standing in front of the stage yelling for them to play Watongo, a song about a god who kills dirty smelly hippies. One of Deadbolts trademarks is their hate of hippies and clowns so it's also a bit ironic that they play in the Hippy capital of Scandinavia, Christiania. Maybe they have made their peace.

Iphone picture of the madness that is Deadbolt

It was a great show! The walk home for one and a half hour with my heavy, locked bike was not so much fun!! I lost my bike key somewhere so I had to carry it all the way home by lifting the back tire. Not what I had planed for my Friday night.

Today...painting action!
